The Many Health Benefits of Stevia

I've never been a sugar-person. I don't crave it, but every once in a while my cooking requires sweetening. For some, I use raw honey, but for most I use stevia. What with all the bad press aspartame and splenda are getting, I'm not about to lay my health on the line.

Stevia, or Stevia rebaudiana, is an herb from South America and has been used there for centuries for nutrition and medical purposes. What's good about stevia (aside from its health benefits) is it's 100% natural, has zero calories, and almost three times as sweet as sugar!
